The Theatre factory in all it’s glory. no half measures taken. Massive thank you to Mark and Kate for their total dedication. It was exceptional. Four sound systems in four rooms. spread over 3 levels, anything from agitprop to zenophobia available in the night markets. Ultra U.V decor from some of the best artists and dressers available. In the main room the decoration combined with lights, laser, smoke strobes and 28K of Turbo provided the ideal setting. Music from the best of Londons trance masters Mark Sinclair, Choci, Beamish, Oberon, Juno, Jace and Allen Tg. With Lab 4 playing a live dat session, all backed up by an eclectic bunch playing anything from serious 60’s soul to “on the tip” deep house. 100% advance ticket sales so no beerbellies or street traders expected, capacity limited to comfortable, first aid on hand, things were looking good.

9. pm Showtime. Juno opened the proceedings with a sweet blend of melodic trance, and that was it, the next thing was a massive rush as hordes of rampaging hedonists charged into the building each intent on party mayhem if not absolutely gagging for it. When Jace came on at 10.30 the place was packed with a buzz you could have lined up and snorted. It was needed and it was provided. Jace got up to full steam within seconds. Suddenly DONG DONG DONG the sound of big ben resonated through the building. A bagpipe player appeared high on a rostrum wailing away. A huge bang as massive explosion was detonated and everyone was huggng and kissing 1998 had begun. Choci took to the decks broken leg and all, as ever giving it plenty.

It was happening all over. upstairs the chill out was a sea of chilled peeps Kirk on the decks with Sonar Luminescance hovering in the background. In the back room Derek Patterson was doing it deep house style. Downstairs Tonka Robert aka Cliche Guevara was being soulful. Personally I thought it was brilliant and it looked like everyone else agreed with that.

9 am. Showtime. Mark Sinclair, Mr Pendragon himself, rocking his socks off, one could have been mistaken and thought it was but 1 or 2 in the morning, despite the best efforts of Lab 4, Beamish, Allen Tg and Oberon playing one class tune after another, everyone was still going full steam mental. It had been an awsome night I could rattle on for pages one superlative after another However all things must end especially when house security hover near the power supply and so that was it another entry in the book of legends.

As the man said “You lot are all mad”
