DIY Party Survival
DIY, The Greenhouse, Bethel Street, Norwich

Despite what you may often read in the press - parties (or "raves") are generally very safe, there's almost no violence, aggression or harassment at these events, but problems can happen.

Also, drugs (which are used a lot in raves) are used by a wide section of the population not just party people - so a lot of this info is useful in real life as well.

Truth is, the governments' approach of trying to fight a "war" against the recreational or social use of such substances increases the dangers many, many times. In other words, government policy is putting at risk the very people they claim to want to protect.

The aim of DIY is to try and limit the dangers caused by the government's policy of prohibition by spreading knowledge and information, it is not a legalisation campaign, nor does it set out to encourage drug use.
